Privacy policy

This policy covers information collected by CJ Dinsmore (“I,” “me,” “we”) through our stairlift ads on Facebook and Instagram, Meta Instant Forms and Messenger, the stairlift pages on cjdinsmore.com, and any calls, texts, or emails that follow.

Information we collect

What you give us

• Your name, phone number, and ZIP code.
• Your email address or street address, if a form asks for it or you give it to us.
• Your answers to questions about your staircase and who the lift is for.
• Anything you tell us by phone, text, email, or in person, and details of any purchase.

What Meta sends us

When you submit an Instant Form, Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram) sends us the answers you submitted and which ad and form you responded to. Meta may pre-fill some answers from your profile, and you can change them before you submit.

What’s collected automatically

When you visit our pages, we and our website host receive standard technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the ad or link that brought you there (for example, campaign codes in the web address). We use the Meta Pixel, which uses cookies and similar technology, to see which ads lead to requests.

We don’t ask for medical or health information. Please don’t send it through our forms.

How we use it

• To call, text, or email you about the stairlift you asked about, answer your questions, and give you a price.
• To schedule and complete your installation.
• To provide warranty service and support after installation.
• To keep records of our conversations and your purchase.
• To measure and improve our ads.
• To comply with the law and protect our rights.

Calls and text messages

When you submit a form, you agree that we may call or text you at the number you provide about your stairlift request, including with automated technology. Agreeing isn’t required to buy anything. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You can also tell us on a call to stop contacting you.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Our installation and service partner. The licensed dealer and installers who supply, install, and service your stairlift receive what they need to do that job, such as your name, phone number, address, and staircase details.
• Service providers. Companies that run tools for us, including our customer management and messaging software, email delivery, website hosting, and phone service. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
• Meta. Information from Instant Forms and the Meta Pixel is also handled by Meta under Meta’s own privacy policy.
• When required. If the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of selling or transferring the business.

Cookies and ad tracking

The Meta Pixel helps us understand which ads work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can control how Meta uses your activity for ads in the Ad Preferences section of your Facebook or Instagram settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. If you buy a lift, we keep your purchase and service records for as long as it’s covered by its warranty and for as long as tax and legal rules require. If you don’t buy, you can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

• Stop contact: reply STOP to a text or tell us on a call.
• See, correct, or delete your information: call or text us. We’ll confirm it’s you and respond within 45 days.

We honor these requests no matter which state you live in.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website, app, or phone system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our ads and pages are meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
