This company originated with one goal in mind.
“Help Families”
With that mission I worked backward to find the best way to do this. The result was an all in one service that would provide families with resources to maintain a healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy financial situation in the home. For an affordable price, families would have access to a community, personal trainers, family counselors, and financial planners.
In addition to the services, they would be provided with easy access to information regarding the healthiest food, science backed workouts, wellness products, and financial vehicles to accelerate their freedom.
My goal was to make an impact by building a healthy community of families across the United States, so that we can all lead better lives
These families would need a place to meet, share ideas, and ask questions to the professionals we have on staff.
Their membership would provide them with weekly Q and A’s with our family counselors, BCBA Professionals, Certified Financial Planners, and Personal Trainers. These would be done through video sessions where people can ask any questions they are having.
These professionals would have pre recorded classes on topics most relevant to their discipline and help families learn the information with in those courses.
There would also be a shop where families could purchase approved products or be linked to the most trusted companies.
Whether a family has questions about their romantic relationship, the behavior of their children, or a specific life situation they are not sure how to handle, we will have a professional available to answer their questions.
The counsellor would typically be available for questions through Q and A’s or direct them to certain pre recorded lessons, but we would also provide opportunities for 1 on 1 counselling.
The goal would be for the parents to have a healthy relationship with each other so that they can nurture their children to be the best that they can be, improving the next generation as much as we can.
The United States has had an issue with exercise and diet becoming a consistent habit within the household.
Our personal trainer would provide online workout classes, education about diet, implement plans for people to more easily incorporate healthy habits into their busy lives, and be able to recommend the best wellness products and food for leading a healthier life.
We would keep up with current research with the goal of extending lives and keeping people healthier for long so they can enjoy every opportunity life provides them.
A leading cause of stress within families is financial stress. It would be necessary to provide these families with the proper tools, education, and guidance to properly secure their financial future. This would alleviate stress and allow our members to lead a healthier longer, more worry-free life.
We would have a credentialed Financial Planner available to provide courses, answer questions, and provide financial products to members on top of everything else.
Somos Family Co. launched its first product, the Somos Sensory Swing.
This swing has helped children across the country. Acting as both a hammock and a cushioned swing for both indoor and outdoor use, it has helped regulate children’s vestibular system, providing a safe place to either get excess energy out or calm children down.
Through our partnership with multiple parents across the country and podcasts such as “The Daily Autism Podcast” we have been able to reach #1 in the Tiktok Shop for Sensory toys and have maintained a 4.6 star review on the platform.
We hope to soon add more products and services in the future, especially for families requiring special needs.
In conjunction with our mission to help families, we helped raise awareness for children with special needs by documenting the journey of walking across the United States from Folly Beach, SC to San Diego, CA.
We partnered with The Daily Autism Podcast to help get the word out about the mission. Additionally, we linked all donations to The Parents Place, a non-profit that helps parents of children with special needs by providing them with the education and the tools necessary to provide the best environment possible for their children.
The journey took 106 days from August 2024 to Thanksgiving Day in November of 2024. This was just one small act in the grand scheme of our mission.
